My ball joints are fine right now(45k,03 4x4)) and want to wait as long as possible before getting them replaced. I plan on keeping the truck for a long time so the longer I wait the longer the replacements will last for me.

recalls don't expire. but if you wait too long and the recall parts go bad and cause something else to go bad only the recall parts will be replace you would have to pay for the rest that would need to be done.
