Message: front end? 4x4? (Sorry, new to the Dakota family). If so... you may have a torn boot, moisture intrusion and CV joint going bad. Sort of a rhythmic clicking noise?

Message: 2 wheel drive, it only makes this noise when turning left and accelerating. I looked under the truck today to see if a tie rod was lose or worn looking ball joints, did not see anything out of the ordinary

Message: checked to see whether the front wheel bearings need re-torquing? Mine were loose when I got mine (about a month ago). I re-packed 'em and re-torqued 'em. I ended up having to replace 'em and new seals too when I did the front brakes... but it did help.
I lifted the front, then got some in/out movement of the wheel on the spindle. It didn't seem to move further "in" (towards centerline of the truck... "suspension"), so I only dug as far as the bearings.
