Just wondering what the normal gauge position is on an 01 3.9L w/3.55 diff. Mine goes to the very bottom end of the normal scale and is rock steady. I've had bad thermostats in others and the gauge either goes wild or never moves off cold. Wondering if someone put a colder one in. Heard some chip kits suggest going to a 160. Someone put 16" tires on this to try and make it something it just isn't. Once this hits 50 mph, this is a super dog on acceleration. A Yugo could pass me on an entrance ramp! If previous owner did something, it didnt work.

As long as no " check engine " light you are OK
on the temp guage ! May be a 180 = usually helps
performance ..
Also check this link out for a little probable help on perf.. http://www.krcperformance.com/newcontent/timing.html
