Just picked up the first pair of Mopar splash gaurds for my Dakota.

Has anyone have any good tips about getting these things on right--meaning, down low enough and equal on both sides? Any tricks? I'll admit, I'm a little wary of this one. Considering how I judge distances and breaks in golf, I'm not so sure I can trust my eye. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks, good folks of dodgedakotas.com...

David

What kind did ya get? Flexible rubber kind, or hard paintable plastic kind?

This might be a little to picky for you but what I do is take a hand level and try and park the truck as level as I can by laying it across the bumbers or box front and back, then use the level on your splashguards when installing them and you cant get to far out of wack.Once you get one on the way you want measure, it to the truck and do the other the same way.

I installed mud guards and truck accessories for work for a while... The best advice I can give you is to get a friend to hold them in place while you step away and look at it. Then, decide where to drill the holes and drill through both flaps at the same time -- to insure the screws will look the same. Then, bust out the tape measure if you have to.

Just remember, if you do screw up, just pull them off and move them a bit -- fill the old holes with some superglue or something if you don't want them there -- they're covered up by the guards anyway.

Good Luck
