So what has DC done on the '05 Dak to fix the Ball joint issue? Or what design are they using?
Maybe thats what they will have to do to fix the recalled ones on the 00-03.

They no longer use the ball joints that were originally supplied by TRW.

the '05 is completely different from the ground up. trust me, i've had an '05 rental for the past week(another story), but i've been checking it out underneath and it IS totally diff.

Jason, as I understand it, TRW made the ball joints for '97 to '99. New Castle supposedly made the ones for 2000-2004, the subject of the current recall action.

Couldn't figure out how to edit my post above, so let me amend it: I should have said New Castle made the ball joints for 2000 thru mid-year 2003. They supposedly switched to a new supplier at that point. Sorry for posting in error.
