Message: I have a 98 durango the ball joints have went out twice and were replaced by DC. the first time in 2000 to the sum of $3000 in parts and the second in 2002 it was $1500 now at 78,000mi the upper and lower joints are out once agian. It is best if you can get dc to pay for the Moog joints gor for them if not lt dc change the joints put some money back and in about a year or two have the Moog joints installed. the joints that DC uses are the lowest quality joints on the market and caust them about $5 ea they are made of a plastic blend joint. the moog are the best you can buy retail any where from $45 to 120 depending on where you get them from. I work for a large repair shop and see this every day. the bottom line is if you are going to spend the money or your dodge is not covered by the recall spend the money and have moog joints installed if you can not find moog go with trw which is made by the same co. and form years in the repair world you can take about a year off for the trw parts. it is great that you can get the parts now which were not in the aftermarket system until late 2002 in most markets hope this help

Message: Took wife's Durango to the dealership Wed and had them look at BJ's and they agreed they were shot. They ordered the Recall Kit for it and when I asked if they would be greaseable, I was told the ones they just replaced the day before on a recalled Dak WERE greaseable so mine should be also.
Maybe DC is finally doing it right now.
