I just checked this out about the Ball Joint recall... Some people here said it's the same part for the balljoints on 98 99 & 00 01 02 03 04 Durangos & Daks but it aint.
My 99 R/T uses Moog part # k7242
A 2000 R/T uses Moog part # k7392

Even though the P/N's are different, the K7242 will work in a 2000-and-later truck. I'm running them on my 2000 for the past 18 months or so, with absolutely no problems. A number of guys on the Durango Owners Club forum have been doing the same.
