Subject: 2001 Quad Cab power locks IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2001 quad cab. Today a problem just started. The rear driver side door lock does not work correctly. It works fine with the manual bar, and the child saftey lock is great.
The power locks will not move it though. I tried from my keyless entry and the switch. The autolock at 15mph doesn't lock it as well. The lock will just not be moved by the power lock. I checked the window from the driver seat as well as in the same door and both work.
I haven't actually started to look into it yet. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Message: If you pull the back door panel off, is the metal connector for the handle attached? If not, just put the metal arm in the hole, and move the plastic peice over it to grab it. The only other problem would be electrical, and that just sucks.

Message: Sounds like you need a lock solenoid. No big deal if that's what it is.

Message: Thanks for the responces. I had to replace the latch in the trouble door. It was pretty easy.
For a second question, is there a website that will list all the parts with their numbers for a dakota?
