Message: I've been told to unplug the throttle Body (TB) and IAC while the engine is running to see if they are bad. if there is no difference between when they are pluged up or unplugged then they are bad.
But i have a problem.. what does the TB and IAC look like? where are they located?
I have a 1987 Dakota 3.9 LIter 6 CYL
Thanks,
Donald

Message: Donald, is your truck carbeurated? If so, you don't have a throttle body. If it's fuel injected, the tb is on top of your engine under your air hat or round filter where the carb would be. Don't remove it; just one at a time unplug and reconnect each sensor. IAC's on the back on mine.

Message: Well, Thank you!
It is an 87, and it doesn't have a fuel injector. No wonder i couldn't find it :).
What other sensor or thing could cause it to stall when the engine is cold?
Thanks,
Donald
