Probably look for a place that does Darangos. They are more likely to be coverted and they are close to a Dakota as far as interior controls.

equip-depot.com ph#[207]947-6148 they are in maine

i don,t know about a lift to put you in the truck [i use a sliding board to get in and out of my 4x4 dak and my car]

but there is a lift that will put your chair in the back and back on the ground,

hope this helps and good luck

I am in the same boat. I lost my right leg and most of my left foot. I cannot drive my Dakota, in fact I had to sell one of them. Part of the problem is that they need to drop the floor for the wheelchair about 10 inches. The dakota just won't do it. It looks like I will get stuck with a converted minivan. Yeah, I know, sucks don't it. Cost will be from 30K used to about 45K new.

Here Is a couple of places that may be able to help you. They specialize in adapting GMC Trucks and 4x4's. www.rynomobility.com and www.accessunlimited.com Access Unlimited has seat conversions for any truck that slide your original seat down to wheel chair height and you slide onto it and press a button that lifts you into the truck.

I hope this helps

Brian.
