i have a 99 4x4 w/5.2 going to put synt in trans case - is it mercon-dextron or chrysler 7176 atf+3 - will be using red line products - 3 different manuals list 3 different options ? anyone change there's yet?

I would go with ATF+3. It is always better to go with the OEM Fluid Specification if able to. It would be hard to go wrong with Redlines C+ATF wich exceedes the recent ATF+4 spec's. I think the other options are only if you can not get ATF+3.
