Subject: Question IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2003 CC V6 3.9. I have a 17748 dynomax muffler new wires, plugs, cap, and rotor. I want to get the K&N intake, however my truck only has 11,000 miles and I do not want to cause any damage. I have read a lot of posts of the KN causing the TB to become dirty and possibly causing engine damage. Is the perfomance worth the damage?

Message: Haven't seen any damage here; TB doesn't appear dirty and no problems with IAC sticking. Might just be a bunch of nervous Nellies. I've also run K&N filters on several motorcycle engines in the past, never had a problem. They filter better as they get dirtier.

Message: K&N Filtration is superb. K&N knockoffs will lead to a dirty engine. Check ebay...the cheap kits are everywhere. 11k miles? Go for it.
