Message: Not much. The factory sway bar is very thin. If anything it will just hamper the driveability on rough roads.
If you need to corner at high speeds buy a Viper.

Message: Hmmm is way off. Sway bars counter the upward force on the inside wheel in a tight turn. That means the front-end will remain flatter in a tight turn. This will enhance safety and handling while cornering on or off road. Emergency manuevers become safer and will help you keep control when the a-hole in the next lane cuts you off on the freeway. You will notice. 0.96" is not thin, it is roughly 24 mm which is about what the Viper sway bar size is. I plan on throwing on a aftermarket rear sway bar in addition. Just be sure to get Urethane bushings for lasting performance. Does add weight to the truck. Not sure how much but about 50 lbs or less.
