Please refrain from using other's e-mail addresses
& the like. I don't know if I was singled out cause
of my non-dodge email address ( I also drive a 96
impala ) or it's random, but they log IP's here.
Hopefully, you guys didn't steal that too from me.
Dan M asked a simple ? in that someone told him to
put ATF in the crank. Any insults, advertisments,
bias, degrading DIY mechanics, or whatever should
go in another topic or forum.
I got a crapload of email alerts to this topic, so
like anyone else, I had to look & see what all the
responses were.

Years ago an old time mechanic i knew used a 50/50 fresh dino/kero mix and ran the engine for a couple of hundred miles to totally flush an engine. The mixture came out like black crude.
I'd be a little worried about trying this with "modern" engines.

Not as far as I know - no problem here. Perhaps it's because some people mark the circle where it says "Notify me when I get a reply to my message" ?

been using trans fluid in my engines since 1970 to 2015. never a problem with about 15 of my cars over the years. had a dodge mirada with the slant 6 and it smoked a little...with 2 oil changes of one quart of tranny fluid to each change, the smoking was completely gone in about a year.... some of my engines i ran were still perfect when sold with over 157,000 miles....
