I recently noticed something with my 04 Dak now that the weather is turning cold. I cannot get the heat to come just form the floor vents. With it either comes from the defrost vent of the dash vents. Is this normal?
I want to be able to run the heat without warm air blowing in my face. Anyone else notice this or is this something I can have the dealer look at?

I know when I first got mine a month ago that when I had the setting to the floor only, it was also blowing out the defrost vent, then after playing with it for a while it functioned properly and only blew out the floor vents. I'm not sure what it's doing now. I suspect it's not normal to behave like that and if mine does continue I will take it in for service.

I rented an 04 Dak for a few days while my timing chain was being done. It did this to me, also. It may not be designed to do it, but it sounds like they are for some reason.
