Subject: thermostat

i went to change my thermostat today put after i removed the bolts holding then radiator hose down i noticed the small square that says front on it coming off the side of the hose mouth i dont see how i can pull the hose out of the position it is in with that square on there is there a way to do it

See if you can break the tab off. Not really needed. Also if you have a V-8, then upgrade to a 2bbl M1 and never worry about it again. hehe You might have to pull the alternator off to help get it out.
