OK My engine light came on about 4 weeks ago for the first time at around 14000 miles it then went off a week later I was ready to take it to the dealer then it went off and didnt turn back on until today. Anyoen else have this problem? should I get it checked out? I have a 2000 dodge dakota sport V6 automatic.

Just as an after thought did you leave your truck running while putting gas in it? If you
did that will cause a check engine light to come on.
