 Subject: 20's messed up my Dak?

Yup, every since i put my new rims on here, it feels like it's missing gears and sways alot.
I know the gas mileage messed up and the ride is rougher, but thats common with plus sizing.
The thing i am asking is that is it normal for it to miss/screw up gear changing and sway alot?

If you put a larger diameter tire than stock - regardless of rim diameter - then your shift points will change and your torque application changes because you've changed the final drive ratio.
As for sway, there's no way you could make enough changes in tire size to significantly change the suspension charectoristics enough to get excited about. But, you can significantly change ride charectoristics with a simple tire change.
If you have the same diameter tire (doesn't sound like you do) and moved from a 16" to a 20" wheel, the tires side wall is significantly shorter. That usually translates to a rougher ride and poor suspension management of rough surfaces. Try letting about 10 psi out of the tires and driving a couple of miles. If it rides better, that's the problem.

Sounds like some good info.
I went from a factory 15" rim to a 20" rim with 275/45/20 tires. They are taller than my old factory wheels.
Also, the new wheels are alot, I mean ALOT heavier than my factory wheels. Would that also make a difference? Are my problems dangerous in any way or should I just learn to live with it?

Are you using the same tires all the way around? Having different tires front to back or heaven forbid, left to right, can cause serioud handling issues.
I know from experience from my F350 crew cab, I put new mud/smow tires on the back and at 50mph I had to fight to keep it on the road, went back the next day and had the same tires put on the front and the problem was solved.
My brother is also a 25 year veteran mechanic at a dealership and whenever someone comes in with 'suspension' or 'handling' issues, the first thing he looks at is whether the tires are matching.

I would say its the heavy rims. Thats alot of extra unsprung weight. All that weight is not good for your suspension and safety. Do some research and you will find that "dubs" have alot of draw backs. there was a great artical in motor trend

Yea, luckily I'm smart enough to use the same tires around, lol. Eagle GT II's.
I knew there would be some problems, but never to the point where my vehicle slowly excelerates, then just sucks me to my seat at 40mph. But the best part is that after it gets to 55mph, it just gradually makes its way to 70mph.
I've came to the conclusion its the heavy rims and the bitch-ass V6 :(

Yes, that would be the power problem. Not near enough torque to get those big heavy wheels moving moving. Your next step would be to install some 4.10 or 4.56 gears.
