the stupididy of picking up 15 thousand more in personal debt is stupid.i dont care how much money you make, unless you make more than 200,000,even then its not the best use of ones money.man all the 10, of thousands of dollers ive wasted on trading in a pefectly good vehecal just to have the newest badast current detroit offerings.fun yes but when you start aproaching retirerment age(dosent have to be 65,why not retire at 45?)you will have wished you invested or at least were a good sheperd of your money.
another point is what impresses you more a brand new car/truck or a cherry refurbished well taken care of older car/truck.both are nice .if you got a nice truck now just fix it up like you want.

I have owned Corvettes, Mustangs and currently have a 99 R/T. The brand car or truck I drive doesn't matter to me.

I wanted a Lightning and drove a few for test runs. I bought the R/T because I think its the best looking truck ever.

The decision was based on the money difference because I took an early retirement and don't want to spend to much money on toys.

The R/T looks better but the Lightning is a lot quicker.

If money has nothing to do with it, I would buy the Lightning.

If you get a Lightning, I suggest a 2003 or 2004 because Ford solved some issues.
