When the engine is cold, it stalls and sometimes quits. I reset the choke by pushing the accelator twice and it starts fine. What is wrong? It has new plugs and wires.

No, I wasn't aware there was such a test. Please tell me how to do it.
Here are the specs:

There is no check engine light on the '87 daks. Its the first year they cam out with them, and the only year they put a carb on them. Mine does it every cold morn. I always pump it twice, then it starts fine, no problems. Its normal. I think pumpin the gas twice kinda primes it, opens the choke a little, so dont worry about.

Got an 87 too....Does the exact same thing. Gotta warm it up or "goose" it so it won't stall in the morning.

i got the same problem on my 88 it starts real good but when i get to the stop sign a quarter mile from my house it drops to about 500rpm for a sec. then just dies. and it doesnt even have to be real cold out.
