A QUESTION FOR THE FELLAS !
The halloween vandals got to my truck. Seems the little buggers put sugar in the gas tank. I am going to have it removed, cleaned and flushed. A new strainer basket on the fuel pump. A new fuel filter. I am hoping that will do it. My question is........ "is there anything else I should do to ensure I have quelled any potential problem. Where I live ( here in Canada ) the weather is not that warm, so the factor of the sugar dissolving in more remote than in warmer climates. I would appreciate any good opinions out there to better inform me on this issue. Looking forward to hearing a few opinions !

Thanks,

SLUGGO

Did you start it before you realized this? I guess you are flushing the whole system all the way up to the injectors so that's good. I really can't think of anything else you would have to do. Sounds like you have it covered. Don't you hate those little bastards!

that sucks

....locking gas cap now installed. Havent had one of those in years ! I may have been running the engine a couple of days prior to discovering the sugar problem. From what I have learned so far, apparently sugar really doesnt disslove that well in gasoline. The clean up is required, but I think the old wives tale about sugar killing your stove may be bull$@#&. Thanks for the input....anyone else have opinions ??

I think they tested the whole sugar in the gas tank thing on the tv show Myth Busters and they busted that myth...
