I've seen a couple later model year 04 Quads on dealer lots near me with this wheel and tire setup. Is Dodge trying to spice it up a bit with the last of the 04s to get rid of them faster or might this have been a dealer installed package? Wish I woulda had time to look at the window sticker. Nice looking package with chrome 18s, though I don't know if I would want such low profile tires on a 4x4. But made me wonder if there has to be any alteration of ride height or of fenderwells to fit them or not. Could speak of more possibilities for upsizing in general.

There should be no need for alterations. 265/70/16 was already an option on 04 Dakotas. The tire size you are describing has the same width and overall diameter.
