Hey Everyone – I’ve been working with some of the people over at Nissan and they wanted me to spread the word to you all about a contest on their website It’s a chance to win your own customized version of the new Frontier that comes out in January There are a bunch of custom parts to add to the truck and the best designed truck in three categories is going to be built for the winners. My friend just traded in his 2000 or so Frontier for a new one. He put a Flowmaster on the one he had ( I actually welded it on) and them small Jap engines, even tho some run good, just sound outright FUNKY with a loud(er) exhaust.
That said. Today he was telling me all about finding a website with all sorts of parts for his (Nissan) truck. Including dual exhaust. I bet that 3.3L V6 would sound just choice (NOT) with duals. Yesterday I saw and heard a brand new RAM 1500 V6 with (fake)duals. It sounded aweful. I don't get it. If you want manly sound, you should start out with an engine that has the source for great sound. If you buy a truck with the base wimpy engine, don't glorify it with "performance" looking stuff that usually means V8 under the hood.

anyone seen the sport truck version of either the colorodo or canyon (can't remember which) that has a 6.0 l v8 under the hood? ugly as $hit but probably fast as hell. why couldn't Dodge keep the genIII look and make the new dakota with a hemi! now us stockers are gonna have a pos GM beating us all over the road.

Hey eddy, what did you design ur truck like? I seriously wish more companies did this sort of thing. I tried to be as creative and different as possible but who knows, we'll see when the finalists site goes up. Its quite entertaining. Do you have any pictures of your dodge?

I'd be surprised if they EVER really dropped in a V8 into the Colorado yet alone a 6.0 V8.
It's a far cry from the Inline 4 and 5's thay have now.

Ohh I did it like a couple weeks ago, it's hard to remember. I think I went with an off road type version with big, knobby tires, brush bar, color-keyed red interior, fog lights, stuff like that. It woulda been nice to have a broader range in choice of accessories. On the 1 in a million chance Id win I'm not sure if Id sell it for mod money or beat the hell out of it off road to save wear and tear on the Dakota. Most likely the former so I don't have to come up with cash for the taxes out of my own pocket.
My parents just got a digital camera and I've been snapping pics but it'll be awhile before I can figure out how to put them on the computer. It's an 04 Quad V8/5spd auto 4x4 in Atlantic Blue.
Clear corners, Carriage works full replacement billet grill, EGR bug deflector, ventvisors, light front window tint(so light Im thinking of taking it back to go a little darker), Alpine head unit with 6 disk changer, door sill plates, husky mud flaps, westin step bars, mopar brushed aluminum fuel door, alteza tails, EGR rail caps, drop-in liner, cheapo internet soft tonneau, Westin Bed extender, and one very impoverished owner who still has has to get an exhaust and intake.

GraphiteDak, it's a concept so you're right that it will probably never be produced, but the idea does exist, and whether they've made a few yet, other than the displays, for testing i don't know, but it would put up a hell of a fight to alot of trucks (stock ones anyway) This is why dodge should get off their a55es and put a hemi in the Dakota!

I couldnt help but join the contest again. This time i did it with a super kick a** Moto cross style. I of course added the KTM 250 SX on the back, did it look sweet. I was a bit undecided with the Exhaust although I went with the Bassani. This freakin site is getting me hyped up for a new truck I cant wait!

Hey Rue. Yeah, your right it does say that. But what I did was change my email address. I have a few email accounts so i just switched it up, hehehe. Hopefully one of them works out. Did you build one? What did you do to it? I really wish I could have copied the page and posted it on here for people to see what i designed, it annoyed me that i couldnt paste it into the reply window.
