Subject: truck won't start-fried relay?
IP: Logged

Message:
Like an idiot I left the interior light on in my truck after changing the clock. Battery went dead. I put a charger on it, set the charger to "engine start".Tried to start the truck. All I got was rapid fire clicking. Then I put the charger on 10 amp charge and let the battery charge up. Now when I try to start it, it turns over but won't start. And there is a clicking after I try. Did I fry a relay? Is there a reset switch? help???

Check ASD relay in ( underhood fusebox ).
You don't say what year ?
May be a good idea to check wiring under that
fusebox while you are there !
Look for splice of 3 or 4 wires - check carefully
if don't look good = redo it...

Hi,
Thanks for your ideas. I'll check it out today.
The truck is a 1997 with a 6 cyl. Sorry about that!
