Subject: Rear Brake Drum size IP: Logged
Message: I need to replace a leaking left rear wheel cylinder on this 1991 Dodge Dakota V6 3.9, and I noticed there are two brake sizes listed on the partsamerica website. Can anyone tell me if this truck has 9" or 10" brakes, or at least the correct way to measure? Thank you.

Message: If you look at your drum, it should be stamped on the outer edge that faces the wheel.

Message: They have used both sizes throughout the history of the Dakota. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell which yours has except to take the tire off and check.
