Message: I have a 98 Dakota. 5.2, 4X4. It's not a rack N pinion truck, just a plain old fashion steering box.
In the moring the steering is stiff, it seems to free up after driving a bit, but I still think it's stiffer than it should be, even after warming up. The truck has 167k on it.
Any ideas how to determine if it's a pump or the box or something else. The pump is full and does not make any noise.
