 Subject: Bed Tie Downs, Front

I have a 02 DAK, short bed with a factory installed bed liner. Question is "are there tie downs in the front of the bed, under the bedliner? The rear two tie downs are exposed, but nothing showing in the front. Can I cut out the bedliner in front and expose tie downs? Any help out there? I really don't want to cut the bedliner is there's no tie downs to expose, but not having the other two tie downs causes problems.

The drop-in is easy to remove and check for the tie downs. There are clips in the side of the drop-in that pull out. Once you pull out the liner and see all the scratches underneath, though, you'll want a spray in liner...trust me.

My factory liner has two 5 inch round plugs near the front of the bed floor that snap out... Under that there are two rubber plugs that go into the floor of the bed. And under those two rubber plugs are the tie downs. They're pretty useless for dirtbikes. I had to fab my own tie down bar to get enough leverage to keep 2 dirtbikes upright.

Thanks guys, I'll try pulling out the plugs and see what's there. Do any DAKs have another set of tie downs in the same general location as the rear ones, except up front? Thought I saw some at one point.

The tie-downs on my 2000 quad cab are closer to the top in the front and near the bottom on the rear. My bedliner had pre-made holes at both locations.

my fronts are about 6" below the top of the box, about 2" from the front of the box. hope this is a help. my liner is also cut out for them

My 99 RT has them on the bed floor in the front, I can take measurements if you need.

Thanks everyone! Hopefully the bed liner comes out soon for a sprayed in liner. Will certainly make it easier to secure things.
