To answer an earlier post - I've never tried,,but heard through some credible top secret sources that the broken up ceramics of a spark plug - or anything else - will shatter a window almost silently. Just throw it at the window, and *poof* no more window.

If you want to break the glass 'silently', just cover it with a coat or some other piece of cloth. Then whack it with rubber mallet.
If you want to get into a vehicle really fast, just be near it when the owner hits the remote and record the RF signals. Play them back and the car opens for you.
If you want the whole truck, just tow it off. Lift the rear and drive off with it.
If 'they' want your vehicle, 'they' will get it. That is why you have insurance.
Stealing a vehicle (or stealing things IN a vehicle) is not rocket science, it just takes a bit of forethought. All of the security measures (alarms, bars, etc.) are just there to stop the opportunistic thief (“Hey man, that’s a nice looking stereo in the truck, I want it...”).

chaximus: nothing on this thread isn't common knowledge even to people who aren't theives. You think there's one piece of information on here that even the most ignorant thief doesn't know?
Virtually all cars can be broken into the ways described here. Most have metal around the lock, so you actually have to punch through the door skin, but all that takes is the same screwdriver you'd use to pry off the plastic door handle. Worst case the theif guesses which side of the lock the mechanism extends out from... and in that case they punch two holes.
