Message: Hey! I recently changed the transmission in my 1996 Dakota sport. It is a 4-Cylinder engine 5 speed.
The speedometer does not work anymore since the swap. I am thinking it must be the speed sensor on the transmission. Does that have to go on a certain way on the 5 speed? The speedometer worked before the tranny swap so....
Thanks for all replies!

Message: The speedo cable can be a hassle to get connected right where it plugs into the tranny. It has go in on just the right angle and it may feel like it's connected, when it's not. I'd try that first.
