Message: I just installed bilstein rear shocks on my 2001, 4.7, 2wd, CC. Now I have a rattle every time I go over a bump. Has anyone else had this issue?
My guess is that the diameter of the shock bolt hole is too large for the stock bolt. I tightened the shocks up pretty tight. I didn't want to crush the side of the mount against the shocks.
I'll try to remove the shocks after work tonight to check the bolts for wear and the clearence between the shock and bolt.
Message: I just installed Edelbrocks and had the same problem. My noise was in the rear of the truck. I tightened the upper mount and my rattle is gone.
