Message: There's a special tool called a tie rod end remover. That, a small hammer, and a can of PB Blaster should do the trick.
DO NOT pound on the end of the threaded stud, or you'll be buying a new one.
Remove the cotter pin and nut. Spray with PB blaster. Set the tie rod end remover in place, and crank it down. Use the small hammer to lightly whack the side of tie rod to set up a vibration. That helps the PB Blaster to penetrate, and helps loosen the part. It takes a little longer to do it this way, but you don't have to replace any parts.
You can use a pickle fork and a sledge hammer. But that usually tears the grease boot.
