Subject: 180 T-stat Problem!! IP: Logged
Message: I just installed my 180 T-stat that I got from Speedtweaks.net and it seems to be leaking a little radiator fluid each day. Is it just getting rid of the excess (maybe overfilled a little) or is it a problem. It is not leaking on top of the engine block where the actual t-stat is, it is coming from underneath. I can't tell where it is coming from, unless I take off the plastic shield underneath the airdam (which I don't want to have to do unless I have to). Do you think that I should just wait it out and see if it stops or should I be really concerned and take apart the shield and check it all out?

Message: Maybe when you were working on the tstat you pulled the rad hose and tore it or broke a hose clamp.
Just make sure its not coming from the T stat.

Message: Nope definitely not coming from on top where the T-Stat is. Could it be the plug. Or what is that hose next to the plug. Its a short house that goes from one nipple to another in about a 2-3 inch distance. What does that do, could it be leaking?

Message: May be coolant coming from the weep hole in the water pump, depending on mileage, water pump may be going out. I replaced on my 95Dak, pretty easy.

Message: could your overflow bottle be too full and what you see is fluid that flows out of the overflow.
