Message: I was wondering what is better for the R/T's for engine oil in the winter. 10w30 or 5w30 Mobile 1 synthetic, i'm about to change my oil next week and i live up in CT, so it gets cold.

Message: Lower viscosity oil flows better at lower temperatures. Therefore, between those two, for winter pick the 5w30.
However, do you intend this oil change to last you into next summer? If so, then the 10W-30 might be better all-around. Do you still have the owners manual for the truck? There should be a chart showing recommended oil for various temperature ranges.

Message: yea but i wont be doing that much driving in the winter any how, so i think i'll run the 5w30 until like end of march then change back to 10w30
