ok guys,
my truck over the las 3 weeks has had this happen 4 times 5 counting this morning. when i turn the ignition to start all elctronics work, but the starter is dead, and sometimes it turns 1/2 turn or so but not all the way and keep cranking enough to turn the motor. finally it will turn over and start. but like i said its not everday everytime but yesterday it happened a little bit more than it has the previous times as well this morning. so would it be an electrical issue(maybe a block ground) or starter going out? 110k miles all the basic mods plus exhaust chip ect.... please help

I would suggest:

1. Clean your battery posts and cable terminals. Use either a wire brush or emery cloth. You can get special brush tools at auto parts store for a few bucks which work really well.

2. If that doesn't solve it, also try removing and cleaning the terminal where the negative cable connects to the block.

3. Have your battery capacity tested. It takes quite an "oomph" (technical term...) of electricity to turn a starter--much more than to run electrical loads.

NEW BATTERY, AND AS WELL REPLACED GROUND WIRE TO THE BLOCK A FEW MONTHS AGO AND RECHECKED IT THE OTHER DAY AND IT IS GOOD. DODGE GARAGE JUST CALLED ME BACK A FEW MIN AGO, THEY COULDNT GET IT TO PERFORM THE SYMPTOMS AND BASICALLY SAID I NEED THEM TO OCCUR IN ORDER TO DIAGNO IT.
