Message: I just want to tell you fellas that I replaced my upper balljoints with Moogs, and put in a set of Monroe Sensa-Traks. The toughest part of the balljoint install for me was installing the rubber boots. I used a bunch of washers and the castle nut to keep upward pressure on the boot, then I was able to work it on. The front end is absolutely dead quiet and tight as a drum now.
I was skeptical about the Sensa-Traks because they were so cheap, but I think they're amazing--perfect for on-road driving. They're very sensitive as far as adjusting to road irregularities. I have Bilsteins on my Pontiac T/A, so I know the difference between good shocks and poor ones.
I'm starting a new love affair with my truck (black 2002 Dakota Sport, 4.7L, reg. cab). I think these are great trucks once you address the balljoint, shocks, and brake rotor issues.
