Message: 2002 V6 3.9 Dak
My climate control fan is only working on high. Does anybody have experience with fixing the problem? What part(s) are needed? Costly?
Thanks.

Message: from my experience with other vehicles this is the resistor, part is typicially cheaper than 20 bucks, and install is the only pain because it requires pulling off the stiwth covers are getting to the electronics behind.

Message: I have done this on a caravan and the resistor is located behind the firewall accessed from the engine bay. Not sure where it is on the dak's but i know it has to be sheilded cuz the thing gets hotter than hell. a lot of time you have to replace the plug as well cuz the thing is corroded to crap. Again.... this is on the caravans.

Message: Ok, thanks for the reply. When I go to the dealer, what am I specifically asking for? I assume there are various resistors?
Also, what can help me specifically find where mine is located on my 2002?

Message: Ask for the blower motor resistor...... as for where it is i don't know but the guys behind the counter should be able to tell ya. Probably somewhere on the firewall.

Message: The blower motor resistor is located under the dash on the blower housing. Look for five wires going to a plug. It is mounted vertically in the housing with two screws. Look directly forward of the glove box handle. Cost about $10 at the dealer. Lot of failures.
