Subject: Hot light switch-should I worry? IP: Logged
Message: I've noticed that when I put the headlights on the area around the light switch gets fairly hot. I mean that when you touch it you would stay: "that's hot".
I have a 2000 Quad cab 4x4 sport
What's the story?
I don't dive the truck that often at night.

It is an anti-icing feature found only on Dodge Trucks !

Message: IS it the dimmer part that gets hot, have you got the dash lights turned down?

Message: mine does the same thing, it is the dinner area that gets rather warm and i do use the dimmer feature. i assume some sort of resistor back there is heating up as the dimmer feature is used. not the best design but i guess nothing to worry about as it seems "normal".
