Subject: fog light switch placement IP: Logged
Message: I have a '95 CC 4x4. I have installed a set of after market fog lights. Everything is done, I just need a good placement for the switch. I'm thinking about removing the panel above the emergeyncy break release and below the dash where my light lever and my electric mirror lever is.
I have a toggle switch but it has no clips on the back so if I cut a hole in the panel, it won't stay in place. Short of gluing it in, anyone have any ideas? I want it to look as clean as possible.

Message: Wal-Mart has some quality switches that look very clean and fit very nicely. They only have black so that may or may not work well in your interior.
I have one that is a low profile toggle with a small LED indicator on it.

Message: I stopped by pep boys - there's a HUGE store near me. They have a wide range of types and colors of switches. They all have the same issue. How do i get the switch to stay in any hole I cut? I guess I'll use glue.

Message: They should have little snap clips on them that when you push them into the proper sized hole, the clips hold tight.

Message: Radio Shack has a ton of toggle swithes. What you might want to look for is one that allows you to screw a nut on from behind. This way you only drill a small hole for the prongs and threaded part to go through and it leaves a very clean switch on the surface. Just another idea for you.

Message: Thanks for the input. All of the switches I have seen do not have any sort of clip to hold it in place. I will check out radio shack.
