no who ever told you that is an idiot any year will go in there i have a 93 with a 95 motor but and yes there is always a but you have to be willing to change stuff around and in some cases deal with some big headaches and you better be some what mecanical inclinded and also do your reshreach that would have saved me a couple hounred $ thats for sure

Any smallblock Mopar engine 273-360 LA (pre-Magnum) or Magnum 318/360 will fit. It's up to you to make sure it gets the proper fuel system.
