clearly someone has added the R/T badging. Not only that if it were a true R/T it would have the R/T wheels. Nice color though

The R/T is (was?) available in a 4x4. the R/T is an option package. Monster v8, exhaust and other options to harness the power. It was available via special order.

Dan M - Share some of what you are smoking! There was never a 4WD Dakota R/T built. That is just a Dakota Sport. Notice it doesn't even say 5.9 in between the Dakota and R/T.

I saw one identical to that at the 4 Wheel Jamboree Nationals in Indy last weekend...except the back bedside had 4X4 real big on it. But yeah, someone just added the R/T stickers. Wouldn't be hard to do at all...

No 4x4 R/T's, period. The guy obviously added the 'R/T' as can be seen the factory 'Dakota' portion is too close to the front edge of the door to fit the '5.9' part. Looks like '5.9 Magnum' from a Grand Cherokee under the 'R/T' bit...

I'm not sure about that now, we have a factory built 4x4 Durango R/T running around my area.
The local dealership had it sitting out front for a couple months before it was bought. It was black with dealership added tint, rims, and tires.
If I remember right, it had about a $35k price tag on it.

my bubby has a durango r/t he just bought form the factory 2003 and its 4x4 , hope that clears some issues up.

The Durango R/T was available in a 4x4.
The Dakota R/T was not.
Everyone with an 88-96 dak needs to get in on the custom

I figured that might be what it was. I wonder why they would offer the Dur but not the Dak in that setup.
I am a Dakota guy but I must admit that 4x4 R/T Durango was pretty sweeeeeeet looking.
