i am running autolite 3923's in my 99 r/t now, i have an msd 6a, and mopar performance wires. since i did the plugs, the truck has been running a little rough when i start it up. i gapped them with a little more than stock since i have the 6a ignition, i was wondering if there are other plugs to use that are really good. i have heard not to run platnum tipped plugs with a msd, but i dont know from experience, just what i heard. any thoughts on what plugs are really good? ngk's or bosch or other autolites? thanks

I don't know about using them with MSD, but I am running the 5224 platinums. I have had no problems whatsoever with them. I don't have any rough idle or fouling of any kind. before these I had Bosch platinum and they fouled pretty quickly (15k miles, quick by spark plug standards). The problem with them is that they just have that flat electrode surrounded by the insulator and if anything gets built up on the tiny spot, then you're screwed. Anyway, not sure if that helps, but I like the 5224's.

I ran Bosch Platinums for 200,000 miles on a '92 5.2, and 50K so far with a '01 4.7. Excellent results with 40-50K plug changes. The smoother idle is a real plus. I can't advise on a 5.9, however. Ask around.
