hey all,
After reading the posts about a/c questions I decided to try and recharge my less the cold A/C. First off the A/C works it is just not as cold as it was a few weeks back. The instructins on the recharge kit say to conect it to the Low Pressure Line, which is the large diameter hose that is cool. Now the problem, the only line that is even close to beeing cool is the one that is very cold with condensation. all of the others are warm or hot to the touch. There are also only two possible "ports" to add the 134a coolant. One on the cold hose one on a very hot one. So I hooked the hose to the cold one and after about 5-7 min I could detect no difference in the wieght of the can. My Dak is a 1994 2wd, 5 spd manual, V8. Any help would be great, thanks.

It takes a while. Get a cup of hot water and put the can in it. It will go much quicker but be patient, it still takes a while. Also, to much freon can be as bad if not worse than not enough. The freon level has to be at the right pressure to cool. Too much and too little will cause it not to cool as well.
