Subject: "Curvy Classic": the GENIII IP: Logged
Message: After seeing the 2005 Dakota "live" for the first time yesterday, it wondered if the 1997-2004 Dakota body style will become timeless, not unlike the 1953-56 Ford F-150 "Effie" which is such a hit with collectors and customizers. I'm sure the Dakota R/T Club members would agree with me, for instance. More lively discussion about the GenIV on www.dakotausa.com. How sweet will a "obsolete" Regular Cab be soon, with Marilyn Monroe curves....!!

Message: I'd say your right on the money. Looks make a vehical last not preformance. Look at the old MG's and Porsche's from the 50's. They were SLOW but, cool. The 60's Mustang is another. Medium speed, handling sucked, but it looked good. The Dakota is a unique truck. Plenty of power with the "look". It'll last.

Message: EXACTLY!!!!
The cars/trucks lines are what makes it beautiful.
The best ones have sensual curves (like the best women ).
The Gen III Daks are such a truck. The only such truck in the past 20 years I.M.O.

Message: Let's see now...the Dakota was introduced in 1987, first major restyle in 1997, seven "calendar" years to 2004 and..."The Seven Year Itch"...eh, Marilyn?

Message: I just saw my first gen IV yesterday. I was lookin for a parkin spot at the mall and I went by what i thought was a durango. Then i realized it was a dak so i backed up and looked at it for a min. The new V8 emblem looks cool....thats all i have to say lol. Its no longer a small/mid size truck. More like the size of a full size chevy in my opinion.
