 Subject: overhead light

i have an 03 quad cab. no overhead computer. one of the courtesy lights is out. i removed the screw in the front of the consul, the whole unit slides bach & forth about 3/8", however i can not pull the consul down to access the light. i do not want to break this thing, should it just pull down, or?? any help appreciated.

Don't have your truck specifically, but I'd just drop by a dealership & ask a trim mechanic (they usually specialize in dealerships; General, Front End, Trim & Interior, Transmissions...). It's not worth breaking it for $20.

or better yet get a haynes manual and it will tell you not only how to replace that bulb but how to do thousands of other things on your truck

remove the front screw and grab the consul on the sides, about even with the lights. gently pull down, it is held in by 2 spring clips. replace bulb and push consul back up, install screw
