Message: This is a two-parter...first part is I'm trying to start a new Dakota site for Ohio Dakota owners. It won't be limited to JUST Ohio owners, but it'll be a way where we can all unite and set up meets, maybe local group buys, etc. I need graphics for it though unless you all (well those of you who may want to visit it) only want to see pics of my truck which isn't THAT good looking. lol. So my question is...any of you Ohio Dakota owners got some really good quality pics of your trucks you'd let me work with and try and put on the site? I'm not looking for anything specific so the trucks can be low riders, 4x4's, whatever...I just need the quality to be better than what my camera has. If you're interested, send pictures to me at GB2000@woh.rr.com. I don't know how I'm gonna credit everyone yet, but I will figure out how to give credit where credit is due.
Part two... any Wright State University students here by chance? Just curious since I go there and see a lot of Daks (one gray gen3 which looks SWEEET).

Message: My website runs on linux utilizing apache webserver, php and mysql. I do alot of web programming to the database. I actually do something similar to what you're talking about. I have a table of pictures linked to tables that contain where i got them from (websites, book, magazines, etc). What are you server specs? If it's windows, don't look at me, I don't do windows programming :D

Message: lol...sorry, Windows 2000 Pro.
It's a very small server originally started as a hobby...just to display pics and stuff. I just started college and I'm majoring in Computer Science. I fully intend to take this from a hobby to a job eventually and be able to do everything that one needs to do to have a secure server running...which includes running linux. I just don't know enough about linux yet to do it. lol

Solar Power... checked out your cardomain site. I'll look through it more when I have time. I got class in the morning and I still got a lil programming to do since it's due at the beginning of class. Are you and Dan friends/aquaintances since you're both from Springfield? Dan, you are from Springfield, right? lol

Solar; Have you heard of Jeff Anders around town? He builds systems/custom enclosures. I know him WELL!
I'm trying to think of good places to have local meet(s) around spfld.. The resivoir, perhaps New Reid park.. The spiffy new ball park, they built on mitchell AVE (by the Rim Man)
Heck, maybe even Southern village LOL!! I'm just thinking out loud. Sorry :-)
Thers a lot of nice places up here as well.. nice parks with lake frontage :-) the lake makes a great backdrop for pictures

I lived on 602 tibbetts... Not the greatest neighborhood, but it toughened me up :-) I lived roughly between Selma, and Pleasant St... Do you know where the old thermomitor factoy was?? I used to "explore" it all the time LOL!(on a side note.. My great grandfather was also the last care-taker of the Wescott house :)
Damn I miss town sometimes! All the family/friends.. and STUFF TO DO :-P I make it a point to stop at Schuler's Bakery, almost every time I'm in town :-)
Its downright BORING up here, beautiful though...
At least I don't have major crime up here....
well enogh of my rant... Maybe we will all meet up sometime, and talk in person! There's TONS of nice places up here, and easy access to them all :-) especially this time of the year, as most of the tourists stay away after labor day....

Message: 1 have you ever noticed that Wright State is refered to as wrong state by the Flyers?
2 as a computer science major (oldest is a Flyer Alumni with a CPS degree and his little brother is a frosh CPS major) you should recognize that Dan M really knows his stuff, plus the fact that as a web server a Linux box is much more secure then a Windows box will ever be, oops just read a later post and you do know this, sorry.
3 if you are having problems with calculus and dropped it, you are putting your CPS grad date in question as I know of no programs in Ohio that will give you a degree until you pass it. Then I know for fact that the Flyers in the other part of the city that you attend school in require Linear Algebra on top of that.
4 and the best for last GO UD FLYERS
good luck in you studies at Wright State!

Message: Yeah, I will need the calc (and then some) to graduate...my intentions are to take Pre-Calc next quarter in order to get me moving in the right direction. I just wasn't ready for Calc yet...it totally lost me. Getting one of the highest scores on the math placement test only meant I was getting stuck in a class that was far too advanced for me...lol. And yeah, I definitely could tell Dan M knows his stuff...I know quite a bit compared to most my age, but I have a TON to learn as well. And lastly...I don't pay much attention to sports, so go whoever is gonna win! :)

I was thinking 2, 3, or 4...what do you all think? You don't have to be from Ohio to voice your opinion on this either:)
Oh yes,
Thanks to Dan (DaffyDak) for the pic of the Dak on the left and Solar Power for the Dak on the right and the middle emblem.

Message: Could you possibly include Michigan in your website? Sort of a Ohio Michigan Combo because we don't really have enough members here that have those resources, but we have a lot of Dakota owners looking for a home. And since you guys are so close, there isn't a location in Ohio that we can't reach within a couple of hours.
