Subject: Brake warning light
IP: Logged

Message:
My brake warning light (regular warning and antilock) goes on when I come to a hard stop. I've checked the condition of the pads and shoes. The fluid level is up, what could be the problem. The truck is a 92 and it doesn't have any sensors attached to the brakes so I don't think it has antilock brakes.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

i have no idea about the antilock light, but the brake light might be the emergency brake? When i use mine and release it, sometimes the light doesn't go out - I have to release it a few times. It is related to the emergency brake release. I have yet to fix it, it's not a big issue for me right now -it more of an annoyance and doesn't affect drivability.
