I have 93 5.2 auto 2wd. While coasting the rpms seem to fluctuate up & down(approx 200-300rpm difference). I have tried putting it in neutral while coasting and it does the same thing so I think that would eliminate trans problem. If I stop & put it in park it idles ok. It is just while I am moving. Any ideas!?!?

Do you have a stock exhaust system on your truck?? I sometimes have that happen while parked and idling, the reason i think is my exhaust is extremly free flowing meaning loss of backpressure which does fluctuate the RPMS, somethimes almost stalling it...
