Message: Well I finally got around to reading Saturdays paper which had an article in the wheels section about the new 2005 dak. The article loved the truck and said it is the best in its class. It also said that the others Nissan, Chevy, Gmc, Toyota where catching up and would put out beefed up versions for 2005 also. Ford as usual will keep the ranger as is and fall behind even more. Here's the part that struck me though.... Mitsubishi is also going to come out with their version of the dakota for 2005 this fall/winter also. I would like to see what that is going to look like. Any way they stated that the dakota has been the best truck for the money for many years and still is for now.

Message: I love my Dakota and wouldn't trade it for any other truck in or out of its "classification". That said, I hate to say it but the Ranger has been the best selling compact truck for umpteen years in a row and counting. So I don't think they're worried about falling "behind even more".
