Subject: 32x11.5 or 33x12.5?HELP ME DECIDE? IP: Logged
Message: will be installing a PA 3" lift in my 97 SLT 4x4 shortly and need help deciding what tire size to go with on my stock 15x8's? i don't mind trimming but i don't want to deal with a lot of rubbing on the frame. Are the 33x12.5's troublesome when parking and taking sharp corners? Do the 32x11.5 look "rugged" enough? I know there are a lot of posts about the 33's and all but i would like any and everyone's opinion, PLEASE!!!!!

Message: I'd go with the 32's personally. That 1" of extra clearance will make sure you don't hit the frame, especially with stock rims. 33's are usually not 33" tall anyhow.

Message: I have been running a 3" PA lift for two years on a 99 CC with 5.2L/auto transmission. I went with the BFG AT 32x11.5 on the factory 15X8 rims and are are more then happy with them. Any bigger tires and you will notice quite a difference in power at highway speeds plus some drop in fuel mileage. Be sure to level out the truck with the torsion bars to get the full effect of a beefy truck. The 32's will give you that effect of "beefy"
