My tapping,thump,what-ever-way-you-feel-it feeling is gone from the steering-wheel and the brake pedal. It is the crappy original I.T. shaft on the steering column that is the culprit. Get it replaced with the ones that are coming out on the 05's and the effect will be gone. This is the one that will be ordered for your replacement.
The 05's I.T. shaft has a VERSION 2 label on it. It is also much beefier in nature.
I had a first one installed and it was defective right from the factory. The second one actually took care of my symtoms.
